Designer Spotlight: Ursino Interiors

It’s no secret that I love working with Interior Designers to create the perfect piece of art for their projects. In fact, I’ve customized my business to make sure that it is as seamless and simple as possible for Designers to include my artwork in their designs. I have a system in place so that art consultants, interior designers and architects can have direct access to my collections as soon as my pieces are ready to view, in a password protected online gallery. I have a section of my website that also allows designers to submit their design credentials to be enrolled in to the LW Designer Program and receive personalized codes to purchase art directly for their clients, receiving a trade discount within 24 hours.

There are loads of other perks and benefits that the LW Art+Home team bring to the table when working with design professionals, ultimately allowing us to be ready to accept commissions with tight timelines, should the designer require. It is a pleasure to be able to solve design dilemmas with artwork and customizable details for each piece of art that I create.

When Maureen Ursino from Ursino Interiors reached out about a project that required precise color matching, customized dimensions and a quick turnaround, we had our Designer Program systems in place that allowed us to say, “No problem! Let’s Go!” all while staying on track with other projects during the busy holiday season. And thank goodness, because this Ursino Interiors project is absolutely stunning! I’m so grateful that we could be a pretty detail in this dreamy home! Thank you to Maureen of Ursino Interiors for including my work in this design and trusting me and my team to quickly and accurately execute a customized piece of art for the space! Check out Maureen’s gorgeous project, published online today at Rue Magazine in the Rue Daily Home Tours section, and read below to learn more about her process and how she worked to execute her client’s desire for a home that is approachable and cozy (and child-friendly) while still feeling elevated and sophisticated.

“in 2019 we received an inquiry from our client that said her preferred style was ‘minimalist, with touches of bohemian / Scandinavian’ and my ears immediately perked up!”

“Our client wanted the dining room to have a bit of formality to it while also still feeling casual. We worked with Lauren Williams of Lauren Williams Art + Home to design a tapestry that is custom to match the window panels and area rug, and love the life her work adds to the space!”

“Our client likes to host big family dinners, so we were sure to design a dining room with lots of seating and with room for additional seating for larger occasions.”

“From start to finish our experience working with Lauren and her team was streamlined and wonderful! We contacted Lauren with a pretty quick timeline for a custom piece and she was fast to get the information she needed to create a truly beautiful piece for our client. Aside from having a true talent, she's an incredibly lovely person to work with! I think it's safe to say that Lauren has found her calling - I would recommend her work to anyone!”

In the commission art design process, Maureen specified images from my previous works that she and her client were drawn to. Then Maureen sent me Pantone colors so that I could customize the dyes, as well as a rug sample from Armadillo & Co. and fabric swatches from Kerry Joyce for the window treatments.
