Designer Spotlight: Stephanie Bradshaw
Building off a successful career in the world of private events, Stephanie Bradshaw has turned her penchant for bold ideas and stylish sensibility into a full-service design studio. A love of nature and art, as well as unexpected shapes and forms, gives each of her residential, hospitality and commercial projects a distinctive look and feel. Never stuffy, she delights in creating light-filled and breezy spaces meant to be lived in and loved, not just photographed.
While a designer by trade, Stephanie’s heart lies in championing the work of women. When she’s not at SBHQ, she’s meeting with artists, conservationists, entrepreneurs and those who share her passion for empowering female leaders and fostering community.
Stephanie, thank you so much for being a part of our blog series. Can you tell us a bit about yourself, your firm, and how you came to be an interior designer?
I was an event planner/design for the last 15 years and we have pivoted to primary interior design post pandemic. I would say that large scale project management, organization and a love of creating ‘experiences’ were all skills that have helped as we shifted over to interiors. We work on both residential and commercial projects in Baltimore and beyond!
Our mission is to help every space we touch — whether a new home built from the ground up or a closet under the stairs — live up to its potential. No matter the scale, we bring an artful eye and solution-driven approach to each project. Headquartered in Baltimore County, Maryland, the Studio services clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic and nationwide.
In addition to interior design, our in-house graphic design team specializes in branding, art direction and printed collateral. We also produce a limited number of bespoke events throughout the year.
We find that our interdisciplinary way of work helps us see opportunities and solutions that others don’t. Each field benefits from the experience gleaned from the others.

You recently completed a master bedroom that included one of Lauren’s textile art pieces. Tell us about this project. What drew you to Lauren’s artwork for your client’s space? What other artists did you incorporate into their space?
“This primary suite was pretty much a blank slate in a mid-century modern home. We brought in neutral fabrics paired with cozy textures, pops of color and beautiful custom art pieces.
While sourcing art we wanted something unique to add an extra level of character to the space. Once we suggested a piece by Lauren Williams the client agreed it was a perfect fit. It created the beautiful oasis they were looking for!”
-Kaitlyn Townsend, Project Manager & Lead Designer for the “Modern Oasis” project
