Designer Spotlight: April Tomlin Interiors
I am so pleased to introduce, if you haven’t heard of her already, April Tomlin of April Tomlin Interiors. With a roster of A-list clientele and the who’s who of Nashville, April designs stunning spaces using organic, raw materials and artistic, natural plays on design, juxtaposed with clean and simple palettes. April is redefining Southern design with her fresh yet deeply grounded style.
My first introduction to April Tomlin of April Tomlin Interiors was in 2020, when she reached out to me about a project in Kaiya Beach Resort down on the beautiful coastal 30A. She was looking for artwork with subtle colors, something that felt very organic and serene that fit perfectly into her design. I created a unique piece that delivered just that. The now popular work, Fog, has been a repeat design that April’s team has incorporated into other projects as well.
April also runs the recently launched Tomlin House, a home decor and furnishings brand. Tomlin House embodies an earthy and relaxed aesthetic representing April’s distinctive style. Tomlin House just launched their Spring collection of hand-thrown scalloped dishware, fringed and flanged decorative pillows and ceramic nested candlestick holders.
Their mainstay linen bedding and organic natural dishware are the true foundational pieces and can be seen in almost all of April's latest designs. They also expanded their current lighting options and are in the process of doing so with their list of artist collaborations.
As I’m working on my own home remodel I have my eye on the Ellison table lamp for my bedroom along with the Aurora vases as layering pieces in the kitchen. The newly released Scalloped dish set is perfect for hosting any upcoming dinner parties.
Check out her projects that include my artwork and Tomlin House items to pair with the look.
